Additive Manufacturing Lead – BDS Phantom Works, Advanced Vertical Lift

Antonio Paesano, PhD, is Technical Lead at The Boeing Company. He has worked in: additive manufacturing (AM), engineering materials, advanced manufacturing, testing and analysis, design, product development, metrology, sustainable materials, and quality improvement. He holds seven patents, authored and co-authored 60+ technical publications, and authored two book chapters in engineering materials and design.

He has been an invited speaker in AM at conferences and workshops. His paper on sustainable polymers for AM received the 2017 SAMPE/CAMX Award for "outstanding technical paper". He has been the scientific chair of symposia on AM, sustainable polymers, and innovation in aerospace. He authored the Handbook of Sustainable Polymers for Additive Manufacturing, CRC Press, 2022, 598 pages.

Throughout his career, he has identified, accelerated, and integrated innovation in products from transportation to construction, marine, sports, military, and aerospace. Prior to joining Boeing, he held positions in engineering, R&D, and management at Magnaghi Aeronautica SpA, Italian National Research Council, FIAT Research Center, University of Delaware, and The Dow Chemical Company.
