Additive Manufacturing R&D Engineer

Oğuz Acar is an Additive Manufacturing Engineer in the Department of R&D at Tusas Engine Industries (TEI) Inc, Turkey, where he deals with powder bed fusion additive manufacturing technologies, design for AM applications and materials process development activities.

In 2023 he earned MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eskisehir Osmangazi University (ESOGU), Turkey. During his master's education, he studied about comparison of mechanical properties of Ti6Al4V alloyed lattice structures produced by LB-PBF and EB-PBF methods.

His current business background includes the fabrication of LB-PBF and EB-PBF processed aero-engine parts using nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys and aluminum alloys. He studies with design for additive manufacturing applications such as lightweighting and consolidating. In addition, he prepares additive manufacturing process specifications. He had a chance to work with different additive manufacturing technologies such as LB-PBF, EB-PBF, MJF, FFF and SLA.
