Jérôme Rascol is Head of the Additive Layer Manufacturing Platform since mid-2015. His mission is to ensure a fast and pragmatic implementation of ALM technologies as future state of the art technologies for Airbus aircraft families. Jérôme started his career in 1987 in the US in micro-electronics materials R&T, contributing to the development of a new generation of solid state microwave semi-conductors devices. In the 90ies, he joined Aerospatiale design office in the field of systems. He led the new world-wide Air Traffic Management system development and implementation on Airbus aircraft families until certification. At this occasion, he developed a new generation of avionics architecture to become the state of the art on the A380 Program. In 2000, Jérôme joined the A400M Program organization to lead the overall tests and facilities development including flight tests. Early 2009, he joined the A350XWB Program organization. He led the overall aircraft systems integration tests and facilities development including flight tests preparation, until certification then entry into service of the first customer aircraft. Jérôme holds an Engineering Degree in Materials Physics and a PhD in Solid State Physics.
